Medicine is the science and practice of caring for a patient, managing the diagnosis,
prognosis, prevention, treatment, palliation of their injury or disease, and promoting
their health. Medicine encompasses a variety of health care practices evolved to
maintain and restore health by the prevention and treatment of illness. Medicine has
been practiced since prehistoric times, and for most of this time it was an art (an
area of creativity and skill), frequently having connections to the religious and
philosophical beliefs of local culture.
In modern clinical practice, physicians personally assess patients to diagnose, treat,
and prevent disease using clinical judgment. The doctor-patient relationship typically
begins with an interaction with an examination of the patient's medical history and
medical record, followed by a medical interview and a physical examination. Basic
diagnostic medical devices (e.g., stethoscope, tongue depressor) are typically used.
After examining for signs and interviewing for symptoms, the doctor may order
medical tests (e.g., blood tests), take a biopsy, or prescribe pharmaceutical drugs or
other therapies.

The words engine and ingenious are derived from the same Latin root, ingenerare, which means “to create.” Engineering is the application of science and math’s to solve problems, Engineering is part of STEM education, which aims to engage students with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics yet, as a discipline, it has been practiced for thousands of years.
Problem solving is common to all engineering work. The problem may involve quantitative or qualitative factors; it may be physical or economic; it may require abstract mathematics or common sense. Of great importance is the process of creative synthesis or design, putting ideas together to create a new and optimum solution.
Some of the traditional and more common interdisciplinary engineering fields:

Education is a discipline that involves teaching and learning through the means of transmitting and acquiring knowledge and skills. Formal education typically occurs in learning institutions such as schools, colleges, and universities and is generally guided by teachers. Teaching involves sharing knowledge and experiences in an organized way, guiding others to foster critical thinking skills and intellectual growth.
Pedagogy is the term used to refer to the art and science of teaching methods. Just like there are various teaching methods to consider, each student brings different learning styles, preferences, and strengths into the classroom. Educators must understand a variety of pedagogical theories and approaches to teaching, as well as how to apply those methods to best meet the needs of each of their students.

Health science encompasses a variety of sub-disciplines, all of which relate to the application of science to health. Both traditional Western and alternative medicine can be considered health sciences. Because humans have always needed to deal with illness, it could be said that health science has existed for as long as humans have. The field includes the study of medicine, nutrition and other health-related issues and the affect they may have on both humans and animals.
Health Sciences encompass areas such as medicine-including medical specialties such as anesthesiology, oncology, pathology, etc.- nursing, allied health professions, healthcare administration, dentistry, veterinary science and medicine, pharmaceutical science, medical devices, health information technology, medical library science, etc.

Information technology (IT) is the use of any computers, storage, networking and other physical devices, infrastructure and processes to create, process, store, secure and exchange all forms of electronic data. Typically, IT is used in the context of business operations, as opposed to technology used for personal or entertainment purposes. The commercial use of IT encompasses both computer technology and telecommunications.
Computing is any goal-oriented activity requiring, benefiting from, or creating computing machinery. It includes the study and experimentation of algorithmic processes, and development of both hardware and software. Computing has scientific, engineering, mathematical, technological and social aspects. Major computing disciplines include computer engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, data science, information systems, information technology and software engineering.

Culinary arts are the cuisine arts of food preparation, cooking, and presentation of food, usually in the form of meals. People working in this field – especially in establishments such as restaurants – are commonly called chefs or cooks, although, at its most general, the terms culinary artist and culinarian are also used. Table manners (the table arts) are sometimes referred to as a culinary art.
Expert chefs are in charge of making meals that are both aesthetically beautiful and delicious. This often requires understanding of food science, nutrition, and diet. Delicatessens and relatively large institutions like hotels and hospitals rank as their principal workplaces after restaurants.

Hospitality Management and Tourism is the study of the hospitality industry. A degree in the subject may be awarded either by a university college dedicated to the studies of hospitality management or a business school with a relevant department. Degrees in hospitality management may also be referred to as hotel management, hotel and tourism management, or hotel administration.
Why study hospitality and tourism management?

Humanities and Social Sciences is one of the major academic disciplines that study human culture, behavior, societies, and interactions. Candidates can take up many courses in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences and gain an understanding of many elements of human life, history, philosophy, and expression. Students who have completed their 10+2 with 50 per cent marks are eligible to apply for undergraduate programmes, while the students who have completed their bachelor’s degree can take admission to a postgraduate course.
The field of study teaches students how history, art, music, religion, and culture have shaped the modern world. While on one hand, the Humanities centers on art, music, and literature, on the other hand, Social Sciences focus on anthropology, archaeology, and politics. That is why even though the two streams are different they are often studied together as both complement each other. Social sciences include administration, political science, psychology, education, and economics.

Business management is the discipline of overseeing and supervising business operations, processes, and resources to achieve organizational goals and objectives. It involves planning, organizing, directing, and controlling resources, including people, finances, materials, and technology, to efficiently and effectively achieve the desired outcomes.
